Robert Coyne, Sohn des britischen Rockmusikers, Maler und Autoren Kevin Coyne (†2004), lebt und arbeitet in London. Bands, mit denen er auftritt sind außer seiner Rock Band, die Kevin Coyne-Band, Eric Burdon, Silver Chapter, Scientists, Venus Ray, Electrocuting Elvis, Barracudas, Scoundrelles, Amy Rigby, u.v.m.
Hier liegt nun sein Solo-Debütalbum vor. Coyne begleitet sich selbst, meist auf der akustischen Gitarre, manchmal am 1960's Fender Rhodes Electric Piano.

"Man hat nicht zuletzt durch die exzellente Klangqualität das Gefühl, dieser Mann spielt für einen ganz persönlich oder eben für ein ausgewähltes Publikum, wie jenes, welches im November 2009 im traditionsreichen Kölner 'Theater Der Keller' anwesend war. Dort wurde der letzte Song des Albums live mitgeschnitten. 'Sugar Candy Taxi' – ein rührend kleines Denkmal für Coynes Vater. Ein ganz intensiver Moment auf diesem Album."
